[WCCO-TV News, August 24, 2021] It’s back-to-school for many in a few weeks, but after more than a year at home during the pandemic, many children returning will be burdened with feelings of anxiety.
Allina Health Clinical Psychologist Meghan Miller said they’re seeing an overarching increase of anxiety not only among kids but adults too. This is brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Miller is encouraging parents to take advantage of school offers like meet-and-greets.
“Being able to visit the school, let them go inside and let them experience the environment to meet the people they’re going to be interacting with,” said Miller.
