MDH reports AIDS outbreaks in Twin Cities and Duluth

[KARE 11 News, December 03, 2021] The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting outbreaks of HIV/AIDS in the Twin Cities and Duluth areas, the first defined outbreaks in Minnesota since the epidemic began in the 1980s. Allina Health infectious disease specialist, Frank Rhame, MD, who treated some of the earliest cases of AIDS in Minnesota, was interviewed by KARE 11 News about the recent AIDS outbreaks in Minnesota and the difficult to treat populations this outbreak is hitting.
