Does using noise help us fall asleep?

[WCCO-TV News, August 16, 2022] In the U.S., over one-third of adults and children fall short on sleep. Sleep deprivation can increase a person’s risk for a variety of chronic ailments, including diabetes, obesity, and depression. Some people turn to white noise or pink noise machines to help them fall asleep. There’s research that supports that belief. Allina Health sleep medicine expert Andrew Stiehm, MD, talked to WCCO TV News for it Good Question feature about how white or pink noise might help you fall asleep.
