Paralyzed in a fall, Courage Kenny is helping a Renville County farmer's recovery

[WCCO-TV News, December 12, 2022] In Renville County, a farmer is inspiring his friends and family by working through a life-changing injury. On Sept. 15, Bill Voelz was fixing a deer stand when he fell. As soon as he hit the ground, he knew something was wrong.

First responders arrived quickly and airlifted him to care. After hours of surgery, doctors told Bill what he feared most – that he would likely be a paraplegic.

Since then, he's been learning how to live with his disability at the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, working to achieve his goal of getting back in his tractor and farming his land again.
