Chronic pain more pervasive than diabetes, depression, high blood pressure

[WCCO Radio, May 21, 2023] A new study reports that chronic pain is more pervasive than diabetes, depression or even high blood pressure according to the annual survey conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. People often experience chronic pain across multiple parts of the body, but low-back pain is the most common, followed by headache and neck pain. Allina Health psychologist John Mullen, PhD, LP, at the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute’s Pain Clinic talked with WCCO Radio’s Sunday Morning Health Show about chronic pain and the many ways it can be handled.
