Allina Health Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute celebrates volunteer wheelchair basketball coach

[Allina Health Newsroom, May 28, 2024] Doug Dixon has spent the past 26 years volunteering as a wheelchair basketball coach, most recently with Allina Health Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute. Under his leadership, the Rolling Junior Timberwolves have won three national champions, and three of Dixon’s players made it onto the U.S. Paralympic team.

While his players appreciate his dedication to teaching wheelchair basketball fundamentals and fostering good sportsmanship, they want him to know his impact goes beyond the court.  Watch their video tribute to him below.
