Former Allina Health CEO shares what inspires her to continue the fight for equitable health care

[WCCO-TV News, June 17, 2024] As Allina Health’s former CEO, Penny Wheeler, MD helped shape the health system’s goal of providing equitable care and creating a space where all people feel welcomed. Dr. Wheeler’s love of learning and interest in science and human understanding led her to health care. Reducing human suffering is at the core of her mission in health care, and she has learned that her life outside of health care is also contributing to that mission.
