Why you should make sure your kids eat whole foods every day

[WCCO Radio, June 09, 2024] Allison Golnik, MD, MPH is an integrative pediatrician with Allina Health’s Penny George Institute for Health and Healing. She joined WCCO Radio to talk about ultra-processed foods (UPF) and their impact on our health and the health of our children.

Ultra-processed foods are known to increase the risk for obesity, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. With that in mind, Dr. Golnik shares tips to help families begin to incorporate more whole foods into their diets. What are whole foods? Fruit, vegetables and foods that have not been processed.
