New season and new coach for Jr. Rolling Timberwolves

[Fox 9 News, September 24, 2024] The Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute's wheelchair basketball team is beginning the 2024-2025 season with a new coach. Derrick Bisnett is now leading the team. He recognizes he has big shoes to fill after the retirement of legendary volunteer head coach Doug Dixon, who coached the Junior Rolling Timberwolves for nearly three decades. Bisnett is among Dixon’s former players, and the current batch of wheelchair basketball players say since Dixon recommended Bisnett, they are confident he can help them continue their winning tradition.

The team competes across the country and has won the national championship three times. Watch their story on FOX 9 News below.
