Inspired by the life and loss of her cherished childhood friend and her father, Sarah Kaspari spends her days supporting the teams that care for local transplant patients and their families

As Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute’s administrative director of advanced heart failure and transplant services, Sarah already dedicates her day-to-day work to the transplant teams and patients. But, in 2022, she took her passion one step further when she chose to honor the lives of her friend and father by donating her kidney to a stranger.
