It is important for women who are preparing for pregnancy to work on being the healthiest they can be, according to Indy Lane, MD, head of The Mother Baby Center. Dr. Lane says exercise and a healthy diet, as well as getting comorbidities such as high blood pressure and diabetes under control can help set up a woman for success during pregnancy.
Dr. Lane joined KARE 11 News to discuss the importance of preparing the body for pregnancy and also what women over the age of 35 should consider as they prepare to grow their families.
