Celebrating Gunnar, the therapy dog!

Gunnar the therapy dog has been visiting Allina Health Mercy Hospital since 2023 with his owner Monica. His big eyes, shiny coat and delightful personality bring joy to patients and staff inside the hospital. As a volunteer, Gunnar’s mission is to help lift spirts, and he does it so well. But now that he has been diagnosed with cancer, we know his visits also give him a boost as his body deals with the impact of an incurable form of lymphoma. KSTP-TV joined him for one of his shifts at the hospital.
