$5 Million gift will help train more cardiologists

[KSTP-TV News, March 20, 2025] A $5 Million gift will help Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation in its effort to train as many new cardiologists as possible. Heart disease remains one of the leading causes of death around the world, yet fewer cardiologists are entering the field. That could make care less accessible as older cardiologists retire.

Jonathan Urbach, MD, a cardiologist with Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute, spoke to KSTP-TV about the impact the $5 million gift from Armand and Mary Brachman will make.
