Allina Health doctor shares story of being a living organ donor twice

[KSTP-TV News, April 02, 2025] Allina Health family physician Michael Broeker, MD is a two-time living organ donor. He first donated a kidney in 2022, and two years later, he donated a portion of his liver. He says a social media post about a woman who needed a kidney started his journey as a living organ donor, and he hopes his story inspires others to consider organ donation as well. For April, which is National Donate Life Month, he spoke to KSTP-TV about life after donation, as he prepares to run his 15^th marathon.
