EMT Training Scholarship Program

Start your career as an emergency medical technician (EMT) for free. EMT training runs Sept. 9, 2024-Jan. 22, 2025, in Springfield, Minn. You must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Applications will be accepted Saturday June 1, 2024 through Monday August 19, 2024.

EMT Training Scholarship Program

  • 100% of tuition covered
  • 160 hours of in-class training and ambulance ride-alongs
    • Mondays and Wednesdays
    • 6 – 10 p.m.
    • Training offered at Springfield Community Center
  • $100 final exam fee
  • Pledge to serve as an EMT in the south central Minnesota region, including New Ulm, Springfield, Lamberton, Winthrop, Courtland, Fairfax, Lafayette and Sleepy Eye
  • Watch a one-minute or five-minute video on why it matters to have trained EMTs, especially in rural communities.
