Allina Health transitions lab services providers

You may experience longer wait times than usual as we change lab services providers to Quest Diagnostics. We apologize for any disruption this may cause.

Allina Health and Quest Diagnostics are working around the clock to resolve the issues causing longer wait time. We know your time is valuable. Making this better is our top priority.

If you have any questions about your care, please call your clinic or message your care team through the Allina Health account. With questions for Quest Diagnostics, please call 866-MYQUEST (866-697-8378).

Sample collection and testing

Yes, many samples (blood, urine, etc.) can still be collected at any Allina Health clinic, and many tests (rapid strep tests, urinalysis, etc.) will be available onsite during normal business hours. Allina Health urgent care sites will continue providing point-of-care tests in addition to more complex testing.

If you have standing/ongoing tests, you may continue to visit your preferred Allina Health clinic or hospital-based lab.

Yes, you may still schedule appointments for lab services by calling your clinic or using your Allina Health account.

You may receive a bill from Quest Diagnostics for laboratory services in addition to any bills you may receive from Allina Health for your office visit.

Due to the challenges experienced during the transition to Quest Diagnostics, Allina Health took the proactive step to temporarily pause patient billing to ensure accuracy for patients.

All pending bills have been reviewed, and we are returning to our normal billing processes. Patients will begin receiving their bills from Allina Health or Quest Diagnostics for your lab visit(s) that occurred in September, October or November.

If you have questions about a bill you receive from Allina Health, please call 612-262-9000.

If you have questions about a bill you receive from Quest Diagnostics, please call 1-800-888-8333.

Quest accepts most major insurance plans. To find out if a test is covered by your insurance, call your insurance company.

Your results will be available in your Allina Health account or, if you don't have an Allina Health account, your care team will contact you. Results will also be available through MyQuest.
