This bystander CPR class covers adult and child or infant CPR and how to use an AED in a convenient one hour class. Class is $15 per participant, but when possible we will try to link you to a community partner that often teaches class for free. For more information or to schedule a class please call 651-241-4470.

This do-it-yourself, at-home CPR training kit comes with manikin, 30 minute DVD that will walk you through the steps of CPR and AED use allowing you to practice at your own pace.

Kit can be used over and over by additional family members and friends so everyone learns how to perform CPR, clear airway obstructions when someone is choking, and use an AED.

Kits come in Adult/child or infant. To order, submit the AED/Equipment order form or call 651-241-4470.

Organizations or businesses can offer extensive training in CPR and AED use to employees or volunteers.

This American Heart Association certification course covers adult, child and infant CPR; AED use; and how to clear an airway when someone is choking.

Bystander Train the Trainer sessions teach you how to teach your own bystander CPR classes. The training will cover sudden cardiac arrest information, course outlines, tips of teaching Bystander CPR, how to teach AED use, class variations, and training resources available to you. Each participant will receive training materials including a peer instructor guide book and DVD. Class is approximately 1.5 hour in length and free of charge. All class options are accepted and approved under the Minnesota Good Samaritan Law (Minnesota State Statute 604A.01, subdivision 2).

No Fear CPR: Take Action, Save Lives

CPR-training

As of the 2014 school year, the CPR in schools law (120B.236) went into effect. This law requires that all Minnesota students between 7th and 12th grade receive CPR and AED training at least once before they graduate. Training can occur in as little as 30 minutes with compression-only CPR or include a full certification class. Compression-only CPR can be taught by anyone including local firefighters, police officers or Heart Safe Community group volunteers.

Allina Health Heart Safe is committed to assist schools with fulfilling this law by:

  • loaning out equipment
  • helping set up trainings (large group or classroom)
  • sharing free curriculums
  • linking schools with local community partners
