Billing and Payment
Our partnership with SCA Health, an industry-leading, national provider of surgical solutions, reinforces this commitment, delivering the quality clinical care you expect, as well as convenience and cost savings at all of our surgery center locations.
Insurance
It is important to understand your health care benefits before your surgery. Please call your insurance provider about your upcoming surgery. As the insurance subscriber, you are obligated to confirm that all prior authorization information necessary to your specific policy is completed before your surgery date. It is important that you understand what your benefits cover and how this may affect you financially.
Our billing team will call you five to 10 days before your surgery. We will review the surgery center billing, insurance coverage, options for payment plans (if needed) and more. If you miss this call, a message will be left for you with information on how to contact the billing team.
Billing
There are separate charges for care or services associated with your surgery. This means you may receive more than one bill for your surgery from several different companies. These may include:
- Surgery center – for the surgery facility; this is payable to SCA Health
- Surgeon’s office – for your surgery team
- Anesthesiologist – for anesthesia, if required
- Adapt Medical – for durable medical equipment (such as a walker, wheelchair or oxygen tank) needed after surgery
- Clinic – for your health history and physical exam (pre-surgery) and any other care related to your surgery
- Radiology – for x-ray/fluoroscopy, if required
- Laboratory – for laboratory tests run on samples (specimens) removed during a biopsy or surgery.
- Pathology – for tissue specimens removed during surgery requiring further examination, if required.
You will be billed for any balance due after your insurance company has paid your claim.

Payment
Full payment is due within 60 days of your surgery unless arrangements have been made in advance. Please contact the office immediately if you have any problems paying within the 60-day period.
Out-of-pocket cosmetic surgery procedures must be paid in full before your surgery date.
Insurance claims will be submitted for you. It is requested that your deductible and copay amounts are paid on or before your date of surgery. You will receive a notice from our office regarding the amount to pay.
Accepted forms of payment
Accepted forms of payment include: Visa, Discover, MasterCard, CareCredit and checks (including personal, certified, cashiers and money order).
Please note: We do not accept American Express.
