Awards earned by New Ulm Medical Center in 2019 include:
New Ulm Medical Center (NUMC) in Minnesota was named one of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals in the United States by The Chartis Center for Rural Health for the eight time in nine years. NUMC is the only hospital in Minnesota to make this list eight times.
NUMC scored in the top 100 of Critical Access Hospitals on iVantage Health Analytics’ Hospital Strength INDEX®. The INDEX is the industry’s most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural provider performance and its results are the basis for many of rural healthcare’s most prominent awards,advocacy efforts and legislative initiatives.
The Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals play a key role in providing a safety net to communities across America—and the INDEX measures these facilities across eight pillars of hospital strength: Inpatient Share Ranking, Outpatient Share Ranking, Cost, Charge, Quality, Outcomes, Patient Perspective and Financial Stability.
The Minnesota Hospital Association has named Allina Health’s New Ulm Medical Center a Best Minnesota Hospital Workplace recently at its annual award banquet.
The Minnesota Hospital Association selected New Ulm Medical Center as a Best Minnesota Hospital Workplace from among its 141 member hospitals and health systems. The results of the Star Tribune Top Workplaces are based on survey information collected by Energage, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention. More than 2,200 area companies were invited to participate. Rankings were composite scores calculated purely on the basis of employee responses. The Star Tribune Top Workplaces honor recognizes the most progressive companies in Minnesota based on employee opinions measuring engagement, organizational health and satisfaction.
