By volunteering at United Hospital, you will make a difference in people's lives. Volunteers from age 15 will have the opportunity to serve patients, guests and assist staff.
If you want to make an impact on your community or spend time giving back to those who need help, United Hospital’s Volunteer Services could use your help. United Hospital is the ideal place to provide you with volunteer experience, while giving you insight into the health care setting.
Volunteers are at the heart of what we do at United. The adult volunteer program encompasses a wide variety of experiences.
Requirement is one 3-hour shift per week in one of the available service areas.
Our Junior Volunteer program is for teens 15-18. We offer volunteer opportunities throughout the year based on semester sessions; spring, summer, fall, winter. Volunteer one or more semesters and spend time helping patients, families, and friends at the hospital. You’ll learn about health care and reap the benefits of volunteering.

We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate semester and class schedule changes. In addition, volunteering at United Hospital may help you in your degree program.
To make the most of your volunteer experience, United Hospital requires a minimum of 60 volunteer service hours per semester (within 6 months). We do not offer short term volunteer opportunities or shadow/observation experiences.

Pet therapy teams (dogs only) at United Hospital provide animal-assisted activities to patients and guests. Brighten someone's day with a visit from your certified pet therapy team!
