If you get this message, it means you will need to use the VidyoConnect App to start your visit. Select “Download VidyoConnect app” to get started.

Install the VidyoConnect app
On the app store page, install the app to your device. Depending on your device type, you can do this by selecting “Install” or “Get.”

Agree to the end user license agreement
You must agree to it to continue.

Give VidyoConnect permissions
Select “Allow” on any permissions the app may ask you for, including: managing phone calls, using your mic, and using your camera.

Leave the VidyoConnect app
Once you’ve completed the last step, you will be shown a sign-in page in VidyoConnect app. Ignore this for now. You must go back to the Allina Health account app to start a visit.

Find your visit in the Allina Health app
Once you open the Allina Health app, find your visit and select “Join visit.” You may need to sign in again, but it’s normal for your device to automatically skip directly to where you left off.

Join your virtual appointment
Launching your visit in the Allina Health app brings you back to the VidyoConnect app with the right credentials to join. Select “Join” in the VidyoConnect app.

Agree to the VidyoConnect app’s terms
This includes the User Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. You must agree to both and select “Continue” to join your visit.

Wait for your visit to begin
Just like an in-person visit, a clinical assistant may meet with you first and ask you a few questions. Your provider will join you shortly.
