Start your exercise slowly by stretching and warming up (slow pace of exercise for five minutes). Finish your exercise by cooling down (slower pace exercise for 10 minutes).
Wear layers of loose-fitting clothing so you may adapt to temperature/environment changes. Wear comfortable athletic shoes that tie.
Avoid outdoor exercise in extremely hot and cold temperatures.
Do not drink alcohol right before or after exercise.
Do not exercise if you are not feeling well or if you have a temperature higher than 100 degrees F.
Drink plenty of water before, during and after you exercise (four ounces every 15 minutes).
