The day before your surgery

• You may need a prep to clean your colon before surgery. This may include drinking a solution or doing an enema (liquid inserted into the intestines through the rectum). Your doctor will tell you if you need to do this and give you instructions before your surgery.
  
• Bathe or shower using the Cleansing Your Skin for Your Surgery instructions or as directed by your doctor.
